Do you know what's in your toothpaste?
Updated: May 9, 2018
Most commercial toothpastes are FULL of chemicals. Typically, commercial toothpaste brands contain toxic chemicals like fluoride, artificial sweetners, diethanolamine, microbeads and so many more. If you can barely pronounce the ingredients then should you be putting them in your body? Dentists claim we need fluoride for strong and healthy teeth but I have found this to be a complete scam. As a kid, I always hated going to the dentist and that fear got even worse as I got older because I learned more about chemicals. According to an article by William Lynch on Livestrong.com, Triclosan is a common ingredient found in toothpaste and is actually classified as a pesticide.
I switch between Young Living toothpaste, Magic Mud Charcoal toothpaste, and homemade toothpaste!
Homemade Toothpaste Recipe:
2 tablespoons baking soda
¼ cup coconut oil
2 tablespoons bentinite clay
1 teaspoon activated charcoal
10 drops of pure therapeutic grade essential oil (peppermint, cinnamon, myrrh, wintergreen, spearmint, orange).
